NDA urges Kaduna residents to avoid Afaka area during shooting exercise

The Nigerian Defence Academy says it will conduct an ‘Advance Application of Fire for of 75 Regular Course’, warning communities around the area during the exercise.
The academy’s spokesperson, Reuben Kovangiya, announced this in a statement on Wednesday.
Mr Kovangiya said, “NDA wishes to inform the public especially inhabitants of Mando, Tsamiya, Kauya and Afaka general area, that it will be conducting an exercise on advance application of fire for Cadets of 75 Regular Course.”
He said the he exercise has been scheduled to hold between Wednesday and Friday at the NDA Open Range, Afaka.
“The NDA assures the public that all the necessary safety measures have been put in place for the successful conduct of the exercise.”
He added, “However, the public is advised to avoid trespassing the general area throughout the period of the exercise.
“Please accept the highest consideration and esteemed regards of the commandant of the Nigerian Defence Academy, Maj.-Gen. Oluyemi Olatoye.”
