NDIC restates commitment to exceptional service delivery

The Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation has reiterated its commitment to ensuring excellent and exceptional service delivery to stakeholders.

Managing Director, NDIC, Bello Hassan, said this at the 2024 NDIC Customer Service Week celebration in Abuja on Tuesday.

Mr Hassan, represented by the Executive Director, Corporate Service of the NDIC, Emily Osuji, said that customers’ satisfaction was one of the corporation’s priorities.

He said the theme for the 2024 CSW celebration, ‘Above and Beyond,’ reflected the spirit of collaboration and unwavering commitment of the corporation.

He said, “As you all know, our passion for what we do drives us to create a positive and stakeholder-centric culture, exceeding expectations. By commemorating today, we celebrate our valued stakeholders and the service delivery staff of the corporation. I would like to commend our staff, who have displayed exemplary performances and dedication in fostering a culture of exceptional customer service, particularly payments to depositors of the failed Heritage Bank.’’

The National Coordinator of SERVICOM Office, Nnenna Akajemeli, in a lecture, commended the NDIC for practicalising the theme of the week through the prompt payment of the failed Heritage Bank customers.

Ms Akajemeli said that customer service was a core means of building brand loyalty and encouraging customers’ satisfaction.

She said that corporate culture was the shared values, beliefs, and practices that defined how an organisation operated both internally and externally.

Ms Akajemeli appealed to the corporation to engage critical stakeholders to ensure prompt bank customer complaint resolution.

The title of her lecture is: “The role of corporate culture in fostering exceptional customer service.’’

CSW is an international celebration that recognises the vital importance of customer service and the individuals who serve and support customers

The theme of this year’s celebration is “Above and Beyond.”
