NDLEA nabs three suspects with Canadian ‘louds’ in Ibadan lounge

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Oyo state command, has arrested three suspects over alleged possession of Canadian louds and other hard drugs.
The NDLEA commander in the state, Olayinka Joe-Fadile made this known while parading the suspects at the command’s headquarters in Ibadan on Thursday.
Mr Joe-Fadile said that the command’s operatives arrested the suspects in the early hours of Thursday at Grill Lounge and Bar at Old Bodija area of Ibadan.
He said that the suspects were arrested with different sophisticated drugs ranging from Canabis inhalers , Canabis crushers of different designs, exotic drug rapping papers, electric lighters, masks among others.
The commander said that the suspects were found in possession of five packs of Canadian louds and each pack costs N10,000.
He said that the lounge had been sealed-off because there were arrays of different drugs and its accessories at the place, ranging from crushers, restlers, and drugs that look like masks, among others.
“My message to parents is that lounges are not innocent places for relaxation. Some of these lounges are places were drugs are being sold to our youths.
“If you go to these lounges, you will find out that undergraduates, youths are always found there.
“Lounges are sophisticated modern day points for drugs, and parents must watch out not to allow their children to go to those lounges,” he said.
Mr Joe-Fadile said the suspects would be charged to court as soon as investigations on the matter are concluded.
