The Niger Delta Power Holding Company has credited federal government support with strengthening its capacity to accelerate strategic investments in Nigeria’s power sector.

The chief executive officer, Jennifer Adighije, spoke in a statement on Tuesday after NDPHC executives paid a courtesy visit to the board chairman, Vice-President Kashim Shettima, at the State House.

The delegation also congratulated Mr Shettima following his re-nomination by President Bola Tinubu as the All Progressives Congress vice-presidential candidate for the 2027 election.

Ms Adighije said the vice-president’s leadership, guidance and steadfast support had repositioned NDPHC for greater operational efficiency and improved service delivery across Nigeria’s electricity value chain.

She said, “Your Excellency’s guidance and support have provided the enabling environment for NDPHC to consolidate its achievements and pursue its strategic objectives with renewed vigour. We appreciate your continued commitment to the company’s success and the overall development of Nigeria’s electricity value chain.”

Ms Adighije reaffirmed NDPHC’s commitment to advancing the federal government’s renewed hope agenda through projects that strengthen electricity infrastructure, enhance energy security and stimulate economic growth.

She said the company would continue delivering sustainable power infrastructure projects to expand electricity access, support industrialisation and improve Nigerians’ quality of life.

Mr Shettima thanked the executive management for the visit and appreciated their goodwill and continued commitment to fulfilling the company’s mandate.

The visit underscored the close collaboration between the NDPHC board and management as they pursue the federal government’s objectives for power sector development.
