NEDC vows to support state government’s development efforts

Mr Lawan affirmed the commission’s commitment to implementing impactful projects.

The North East Development Commission (NEDC) has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the state government in rebuilding infrastructure, empowering citizens and promoting sustainable development in the region.

NEDC’s coordinator in Adamawa, Khalifa Lawan, made the statement on Wednesday during a courtesy visit to the Speaker of the Adamawa House of Assembly, Bathiya Wesley.

He said the visit was aimed at discussing areas of mutual interest and reaffirming the partnership between the state legislature and the agency.

Mr Lawan also affirmed the commission’s commitment to implementing impactful projects and initiatives that address the needs of communities across the state.

The speaker commended the commission for its remarkable interventions across key sectors and assured the legislature’s continued support and collaboration.

According to him, the assembly will continue to provide the necessary legislative support and an enabling environment for the commission’s activities to thrive.
