NFVCB boss tasks staff on professionalism, productivity

Mr Husseini pledged that NFVCB would work together as a family in the best interests of stakeholders and the nation.

Shaibu Husseini, the new director-general of the National Film and Video Censors Board, has urged staff to adhere to professional best practices and productivity to ensure the board effectively fulfils its mandate.

Mr Husseini said this during his first meeting with NFVCB’s staff after taking office at the agency’s headquarters in Abuja.

According to him, the board, as a critical stakeholder in the nation’s creative sector, particularly the film industry, is expected to discharge its statutory functions “in the best professional manner.”

He urged NFVCB’s staff to be more productive to ensure that the motion picture industry contributed maximally to the national economy in line with the ‘renewed hope’ mantra of President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

Mr Husseini pledged that NFVCB would work together as a family in the best interests of stakeholders and the nation.

Therefore, he solicited the cooperation and support of the board’s management and staffers across its offices nationwide to enable him to achieve his vision.
