A former Niger Delta activist, Endurance Amagbein, has emphasised the need for grassroots mobilisation for President Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress ahead of the 2027 elections.

Mr Amagbein made the call in a statement on Tuesday in Abuja. He said if Mr Tinubu must win the presidential poll, all pro-APC groups should focus on reaching out to the grassroots.

He said the core of every successful political support foundation is to mobilise support from the nooks and crannies by giving people reasons to support their candidate.

“This is my agenda,” he said.

The ex-agitator, fondly called “Adaka Boro the Second”, said he has sustained unwavering grassroots support for the Renewed Hope Agenda in the past few years by reaching out to communities and friends in the APC and other parties.

“This will culminate in a massive vote for President Tinubu,” he said.

He said he and his supporters would replicate the rallies and grassroots programmes they started since the 2023 elections ahead of the 2027 elections.

Mr Amagbein said that for all the programmes, policies and other good works the president had done in the Niger Delta through the Renewed Hope Agenda, he was hopeful that the president would pull at least 97 per cent of the overall votes in the Niger Delta.

However, he urged stakeholders not to leave anything to chance.

“Hence, every Tinubu lover needs to sustain the tempo and redouble efforts to ensure it is Tinubu all the way,” he added.

He also distanced himself from political manoeuvres that resulted in what he described as “capturing sacred traditional institutions”, which were designed to raise traditional platforms to overawe the federal government in sustaining their selfish political gains.

Mr Amagbein said he doesn’t know how to abandon anything he has committed himself to; hence, his support for the Tinubu-led administration is unwavering.
