Nigeria air space set to witness new carrier

Green Africa Airways, a new low-cost carrier, is set to begin its operations after reaching the final stage of certification.
The management of the airline disclosed that flight operations will begin after the Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC) has been issued by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA).
Though the planned unveiling of its crew uniform tagged “The Runway” is yet to be revealed, the airline has begun a recruitment drive with calls for qualified pilots to join its fleet via its Twitter handle.
In October 2020, First City Monument Bank (FCMB) provided $31 million as a short term credit and capital for the pre-sales period in the first quarter of 2021, to the airline.Â
In 2020, the airline ordered fifty units of A220-300s, deliveries are scheduled to begin this year. Green Africa also planned to lease three A220-300s from GTLK – State Transport Leasing
