Nigerian fraudster Rotimi Oladimeji arrested in U.S. over mail, wire fraud

A U.S.-based Nigerian Yahoo boy, Rotimi Oladimeji, has been arrested by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement team in New Orleans.

A U.S.-based Nigerian Yahoo boy, Rotimi Oladimeji, has been arrested by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement team in New Orleans.

ICE announced Mr Oladimeji’s arrest in a post on X on Monday.

Posting a photo of Mr Oladimeji in a grey colour shirt and a headwarmer, ICE labelled him “criminal alien” from Nigeria.

Mr Oladimeji was arrested by the ICE team in New Orleans.

Prior to his arrest, Mr Oladimeji had a criminal history that included mail and wire fraud.

“He was ordered to pay $1.1M+ in restitution before ICE New Orleans arrested him,” ICE said.

Mr. Oladimeji now risks being sentenced to jail for his criminal offences and deported after serving his jail term.
