A Nigerian man, Quadri Lasisi, who went missing a day after arriving Bangkok, Thailand, has been found alive.

The Bangkok Community Help Foundation announced the development on Monday.

“We are happy to share that Quadri Lasisi has been found safe and has successfully reached out to his family,” the foundation said.

The foundation appreciated everyone who raised awareness which led to knowing the whereabouts of the Nigerian.

“On behalf of Bangkok Community Help Foundation and Quadri’s family, thank you for your kindness and willingness to help. We are grateful for this positive outcome and ask that everyone respects his privacy as he reconnects with his loved ones,” it added.

Mr Lasisi, identified as an American-Brazilian, was declared missing when he became unreachable on July 22, 2026 a day after he arrived Thailand on flight Thai AirAsia FD657 (Ho Chi Minh City –Don Mueang, Bangkok).

“Since then his family and friends have been unable to contact him and are extremely concerned for his safety and wellbeing,” the foundation said.

The development came amid reports of missing foreign nationals in Thailand.

Days ago, the bodies of Russian nationals and siblings Diana and Roman Nazimov, were found in a shallow grave in a forested patch of land in Chonburi province several days after their mother reported them missing.
