Two Nigerian security officials were caught on camera trading punches on Friday during President Bola Tinubu’s visit to Bayelsa State.
A viral video of the soldiers’ fight emerged on the internet on Friday, sparking reactions from social media users.
The viral video featured a scene of security vehicles driving in convoy. The driver of a van branded Naval Police suddenly stopped, jumped out, and ran to the other side of his vehicle to meet another operative.
Running back to his car, an officer ran after him and punched him, sparking a fight before other security operatives intervened to stop the fight.
It was not immediately ascertained that the two operatives were part of the president’s security detail during his visit to Bayelsa.
Mr Tinubu, during his visit, commissioned projects and inaugurated 60-megawatt gas turbine plants at Elebele in Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa on Friday.
