Nigerian striker Onuachu emerges joint top scorer in Turkish Süper Lig

Nigerian striker, Paul Onuachu, has emerged as joint top scorer of 2025/2026 season in Turkish Süper Lig.

Onuachu, who plays for Trabzonspor, jointly won the Turkish Süper Lig Golden Boot with Eldor Shomurodov of Istanbul Basaksehir.

The Trabzonspor striker netted 22 in 30 games, while Shomurodov netted same number goals in 34 games. 

However, Osimhen, who won the league title with Galataxary, netted 15 goals in 22 games in the just concluded season.

Nigerian Super Eagles celebrated Onuachu’s 2025/2026 achievement in a post on X on Monday.

“Paul Onuachu was a force to reckon with 22 goals in the Süper Lig this season,” the Super Eagles posted.
