Nigerian, two others arrested in Thailand for visa violation
Three foreign nationals, from Nigeria, the Philippines, and Kuwait were arrested by Thai Police on Monday for overstaying their visas as the country tightens the noose on illegal migration.
An investigative team led the arrest of the three suspects apprehended in Phuket, Thailand, for violating the country’s immigration laws in the area.
The suspects were identified as James Chinekwu Agbo, Essam Abdullah, and Ronelio Sollano.
Authorities did not disclose if they had committed any other crimes, but they would face legal action and immigration procedures.
Thailand has intensified efforts to combat foreign nationals who have used the country’s tourism to violate its immigration laws to facilitate transnational crime by preventing high-risk individuals from entering the country and deporting foreigners who violate their visa conditions.
