The lawmaker representing Lagos-East at the Senate, Mukhail Abiru, on Friday urged all Nigerians to remain resilient and prayerful.

In his Sallah goodwill message by his media aide, Enitan Olukotun, Mr Abiru said the Eid-Kabir season is a time of celebration, reflection, compassion, and renewal of commitment to nation-building.

Mr Abiru, also the chairman of the Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance and Other Financial Institutions, urged Nigerians to embrace peace, religious tolerance and unity, especially in light of the ongoing national efforts to address economic and social challenges.

He said, “Now more than ever, we must come together as one people, regardless of religion, ethnicity or political affiliation.

“Let us support our leaders at all levels, especially President Bola Tinubu, as they work tirelessly to build a more prosperous and stable Nigeria.”

The lawmaker highlighted the importance of steadfastness and collective responsibility in nation-building.

Mr Abiru noted that while the road to economic recovery may be challenging, unity, hope, and hard work would see the country through.

He urged the Muslim faithful to uphold the values of sacrifice, obedience, and unwavering faith, as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim, as they celebrated the Eid-el-Kabir.

According to the lawmaker, this sacred period should remind the faithful of the timeless lessons of devotion, humility, and total submission to the will of Almighty Allah.

He added, “I felicitate my Muslim brothers and sisters in Lagos East and across the country as we celebrate the blessed occasion of Eid-El-Kabir.”
