NMA Adamawa chapter elects new executive members

The Nigerian Medical Association, Adamawa State chapter has elected new executive council members with Yunusa
Dahiru and Cyril Jomusu emerging as chairman and secretary, respectively.
The NMA Public Relations Officer, Bilal Yahaya, disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday in Yola.
He stated that the new exco emerged during the association’s 2024 Annual General Meeting and Scientific Conference with the theme “Public health and climate change.”
According to him, speakers at the event enumerated the effects of climate change on human health and the management of heat stroke.
Mr Yahaya quoted the new chairman as assuring continued unity and welfare for members, among others.
Mr Dahiru also recognised the achievements of the Adamawa governor in the health sector, saying, “We look forward to collaborating with the government to provide quality care to the good people of the state.”
He thanked members of the association for finding them worthy to serve the association.
Other members of the executive committee include Rephath Pius, assistant secretary, Nathaniel Noel, vice chairman I, and Aliyu Gurin, vice chairman II.
Others are Kaleb Abews, Financial Secretary and Aniekan Ifon, Treasurer.
