NNPP begs members not to defect to APC, other parties; urges loyalty

The New Nigeria People’s Party has urged its members to remain loyal to it.
The NNPP chairman, Hashim Suleiman Dungurawa, disclosed this while addressing journalists at the party’s headquarters on Monday.
He, however, clarified that the party, at both state and national levels, including its national leader, Rabiu Kwankwaso, does not approve of any planned defections of its members to other parties.
The party appealed to individuals to remain loyal to NNPP, citing their responsibilities to the people of Kano and to the party’s constitution, which aims to improve education, agriculture, commerce, and other sectors.
Mr Dungurawa also dismissed rumours of divisions within the party, particularly claims that certain individuals were pitching Governor Abba Yusuf against Mr Kwankwaso, describing the accusations as baseless.
The NNPP urged the public to continue supporting the party and its leader, Mr Kwankwaso, ahead of the 2027 general elections.
