Nollywood actor Ogogo buried in hometown amid tears

Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, aka Ogogo, who died after battling stage four cancer, was buried in his hometown in Ilaro, Ogun state, on Monday.

Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, aka Ogogo, who died after battling stage four cancer, has been buried in his hometown in Ilaro, Ogun state, on Monday.

Religious leaders, friends, and colleagues in the film industry attended the actor’s burial.

In a video online, actor Yinka Quadri was seen crying profusely as people moved to console him.

Mr Hassan died on Sunday at 66. One of his daughters, Shakirat Taiwo, announced his death in a live Instagram session on Sunday.

The veteran actor died despite efforts by family and colleagues to save him.

Nollywood actors, including Odunlade Adekola, Muyiwa Ademola, Femi Adebayo and others, mourned him, adding that his impact in the film industry would forever be cherished.
