Nominations open for World Police Summit Awards

The organisers noted that over the years, the awards witnessed over 900 candidates competing across 140 specialised sessions.

The World Police Summit Awards has opened nominations for the fifth edition of its annual “Excellence for People of Determination Awards,” urging persons with disabilities serving in police and law enforcement agencies worldwide to apply.

‎The award organizers spoke on Tuesday in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

They said, “The category recognises officers who have demonstrated exceptional professional achievement while overcoming personal and operational challenges, celebrating their resilience, commitment, and meaningful contributions to the security sector.

‎”The awards stand among the summit’s most prominent categories, highlighting inspiring journeys that reflect courage, perseverance and a true dedication to duty.”

‎The WPSA, held annually in Dubai, brings together senior law enforcement leaders, specialists, academics, and decision makers to address evolving security challenges and explore innovative solutions that strengthen community safety.

      The organisers noted that over the years, the awards witnessed over 900 candidates competing across 140 specialised sessions and 302 international speakers exploring key security themes.

‎”While 38 memoranda of understanding were signed to enhance cooperation between security bodies and technological and academic institutions,” the organisers stated. 

‎This year’s summit which will take place at the Dubai World Trade Centre from June 23 to 25, will recognize winnners across 13 categories which include:

Future Leader Award,  Excellence in Criminal Investigation, ‎Excellence in Road Safety,  Excellence for People of Determination,  Best Female Law Enforcement Professional, Best Innovative Idea in Policing and Security, 

‎Excellence in Forensics and Criminology, 

‎Excellence in Anti-Narcotics, 

‎Excellence in Customer Service in Policing, Best Artificial Intelligence Application in Policing, 

‎Best Police Application, 

‎Best Community Contribution in Policing, and Innovation for Startups.
