Norway’s crown princess’ son Marius Borg Hoiby jailed four years for rape

Marius Borg Hoiby, the oldest son of Norway’s Crown Princess Mette-Marit, has been sentenced to four years in prison for rape.
Mr Høiby, 29, was sentenced in Courtroom 250 at Oslo District Court on Monday after being found guilty on two of four rape charges.
He was acquitted of the other two rape charges.
Mr Høiby, however, can appeal the court’s verdict within the legal appeal window.
Between 2018 and 2024, the 29-year-old was accused of sexually assaulting four women who were asleep and unable to resist him.
State prosecutors had asked Oslo District Court to sentence Mr Høiby to more than seven years in prison.
