Nottingham Forest get Midtjylland in UEL round of 16; Crystal Palace to face AEK Larnaca in Conference League

Premier League side Nottingham Forest will face FC Midtjylland in this season’s UEFA Europa League (UEL) round of 16 following the completion of the draw for the phase at the UEFA Headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland, on Friday.
Both sides met during the league phase earlier this season, with Midtjylland emerging 3-2 winners, but Nottingham Forest now have another opportunity for revenge against the Danish club.
The draw also saw another English club, Aston Villa, paired with French side Lille for a place in the quarterfinals, while Celta Vigo will face Lyon.
Bologna and Roma will face each other in an all-Italian clash. Genk will slug it out with Freiburg; Ferencvaros got Braga, while Porto are up against Stuttgart.
Last season’s UEFA Conference League finalists, Real Betis, will tackle Real Betis for a spot in the last eight of the European second-tier club competition.
Meanwhile, in the draw for the Conference League, held at the same venue on Friday, Crystal Palace will play AEK Larnaca; two-time finalists Fiorentina tackle Rakow, and Rijeka is set to face Strasbourg in the last 16.
The first legs of the round of 16 matches in both competitions are slated for March 12, while the second legs will take place seven days later on March 19.
