NPFL: We’re taking every game as final, says Enyimba midfielder

Enyimba International FC defensive midfielder Gozie Umeh said the nine-time Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) champions aim for a top-three finish and a continental ticket.
Umeh stated this while speaking with journalists in Aba on Saturday, saying the club still has six games to prove their worth.
He said their match against Sunshine Stars FC of Akure on Sunday remains a must-win.
Umeh insisted that the club will continue to fight for a continental position.
“I know it may not be an easy game, but we are determined to win the maximum points on Sunday.
“With just six games to go and 18 points to grab, we are optimistic to go all the way and we are taking each game at a time.
“We need to get it right against Sunshine Stars, and with a positive result, I am optimistic we can do it and grab a continental ticket,” he said.
Umeh said his club has the hunger, grit, and mentality to finish the season strong.
He said the 2-1 win over Abia Warriors reignited the club’s campaign but has injected belief into the squad as they gear up for the season’s home stretch.
“I commend NPFL for making the derby against Abia Warriors live; it will help advertise the league.
“I wish we get more of our games live on television because it is good for Nigerian football,” Umeh said.
