NSCDC arrests two suspected tricksters in Plateau

The Plateau Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) has arrested two suspected tricksters in Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau.
Alexander Barunde, the commandant of the corps in the state, announced this when he paraded the suspects on Friday in Jos.
The suspects, residents of Karu, Nasarawa State, were arrested on December 12.
“On Dec. 12, at about noon, our men arrested two persons for duping unsuspecting citizens.
“The suspects were about to dupe one Mr Danjuma Dalong of his N288,000 when our men arrived at the spot and arrested them.
“Investigation revealed that the two suspects residing in Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, went to Bokkos with the sole aim of duping innocent citizens.
“Exhibits recovered from them include a black polythene bag containing some papers cut in size of money suspected to be what they use in tricking their victims,” he said.
Mr Barunde said that the suspects belong to a syndicate that specialises in duping unsuspecting citizens in the state, adding that investigation is ongoing to unmask many of their kinds and to bring them to face the law.
He said that the suspects would be charged to court after investigations are concluded.
