NSCDC gets new commandant in Akwa Ibom

Eluwade Eluyemi, has assumed duty as the 15th State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Akwa Ibom.
This is contained in a statement issued by the command public relations officer, Friday Ekerete, in Uyo on Thursday.
Mr Ekerete said that Mr Eluyemi took over from Dr Yusuf Imam, who was redeployed to NSCDC National Headquarters, Abuja.
He added that the new commandant had worked in different NSCDC commands across the country.
Mr Ekerete said that Eluyemi is a Mechanical Engineer and holds a Masters degree in Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice from Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria.
Mr Eluyemi who took over the command, briefed officers and men, and solicited for their support.
He urged the officers and men to rededicate themselves to deliver on the mandate of the corps by showing commitment to duty.
He commended his predecessor for his contributions to the growth of the command and pledged to bring fresh zeal and vigour towards actualising the mandate of the corps.
Mr Eluyemi pledged to add value to the command and digitalised its operations.
He promised to collaborate with the state government and other security agencies to ensure adequate protection of government critical assets and infrastructure.
The commandant urged people of Akwa Ibom to avail the command with useful information to address crimes in the state.
