NSCDC inaugurates 100 anti-fraud officers

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has inaugurated 100 officers and men as members of its anti-fraud unit.
The NSCDC Commandant-General, Dr Ahmed Audi, inaugurated the new members on Tuesday at the NSCDC Headquarters, Abuja.
Mr Audi urged the inductees to uphold integrity in the discharge of their duties while ensuring effective delivery of the agency’s mandate.
He said the 100 anti-fraud officers were drawn from various NSCDC formations, while emphasising that the corps maintained a zero tolerance policy for corruption.
“Fraud and corruption are insidious threats that can undermine our efforts, erode public trust and compromise the very fabric of our agency.
“They not only affect our operations but also tarnish the reputation of the entire civil service. Today we take a stand against these threats, reinforcing our commitment to ethical conduct and accountability,” he said.
In her remarks, NSCDC anti-fraud head, CC Emeribe Victory, assured that the unit remained committed to driving integrity, transparency and accountability.
Ms Victory appreciated the CG for providing an enabling environment free from interference.
She said the unit would continue to detect, prevent and investigate corrupt activities involving personnel and contractors.
