NSCDC nabs five suspected vandals, others in FCT

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, FCT Command, has arrested 10 individuals for alleged vandalism and peddling of critical national asset and infrastructure in the territory.
The NSCDC FCT Commandant, Dr Olusola Odumosu, briefing journalists in Abuja on Wednesday, said that the suspects were apprehended at various locations.
He said that they were caught vandalising street lights, bridges, and telecommunication masts.
Mr Odumosu condemned buyers of the items, stating that their actions fuelled unlawful activities.
He said, “Investigations are ongoing to identify kingpins behind these acts.’’
The commandant assured that those found guilty would face prosecution.
He urged residents to remain vigilant and cooperate with security agencies by reporting suspicious activities.
