NSCDC nabs man for allegedly vandalising transformer, recovers items

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Kano State Command, said it arrested one suspect for alleged vandalism in the state.
The corps public relations officer in Kano, SC Ibrahim Idris-Abdullahi, said this in a statement on Tuesday in Kano.
Mr Idris-Abdullahi said that the suspect, who hails from Layin Tankin Magi, Kura Local Government Area of the state, was apprehended by the operatives of the corps attached to Garun Malam Divisional Office during midnight patrols.
“The suspect was arrested while vandalising transformer fittings and an electric pole at Dakasoye Village, in the Garun Malam Local Government Area,” he said.
He said that items recovered from the suspect included eight iron rods, three PHCN insulators, 43 quarter rods, three long nuts, an aluminium rod, hammer and a chisel.
He said the suspect would be charged in court upon completion of the investigation.
