NSCDC pledges adequate security during Ramadan

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps in Kwara State has restated commitment to ensuring adequate security during Ramadan.
The commandant of the corps, Umar Mohammed, said this at a news conference on Monday in Ilorin.
He said that personnel of the corps had been strategically deployed to prevent any potential attacks by malicious people during the Holy month of Ramadan.
Mr Mohammed stated, “I implore those with criminal intentions to steer clear of Kwara as violators will face swift and decisive repercussions. All area commanders, divisional officers and tactical team commanders will implement stringent security measures to apprehend anyone attempting to disrupt law and order in the state.’’
Mr Mohammed enjoined Muslims to embrace values such as compassion and forgiveness, while prioritising kindness, charity and goodwill to one another.
He urged law abiding citizens to carry out their lawful activities without fear, and to report suspicious activities to the security agencies.
