NSF: Team Ogun wins golf tournament

Team Ogun has been declared the overall winner of the golf event at the ongoing National Sports Festival tagged “Gateway Games 2024. ″
The Golf Federation’s Technical Director, Jide Bolaji, stated this in Abeokuta on Thursday after the compilation of the final results of the game.
Mr Bolaji stated that Team Ogun got 6 gold, 4 silver and 4 bronze totalling 14 medals.
He said that Delta State came second with 5 gold and 4 silver totalling 9 medals.
Team FCT came third with 2 gold, 4 silver and one bronze with a total of 7 medals.
Bayelsa State took the 4th position winning 2 gold, 2 silver and one bronze with a total of 5 medals. Plateau State is 5th with one gold, one silver and 4 bronze totalling 6 medals.
He stated, “River State is 6th with one gold, one silver totalling two medals while Osun State is 7th with one gold and one bronze, totalling two medals. Imo and Kano states are tied in 8th position with two medals of one gold and one bronze each.’’
The 10th position goes to Edo with 3 silver and 3 bronze, totalling 6 medals. Niger State is in 11th position with 2 medals of one gold and one bronze.
Lagos State is tied with Jigawa State in 12th position with two medals, two silver and two bronze each. The 14th position goes to Ekiti and Benue states with two medals each, one silver and one bronze.
The 16th position goes to Oyo State, 17th position to Ondo, 18th position to Kwara, 19th position to Cross Rivers, 20th position to Borno and 21st position to Akwa Ibom.
Nasarawa State, 22nd, 23rd position goes to Katsina State while Adamawa State occupies the 24th position.
Mr Bolaji said that a total of 60 medals were awarded in the golf tournament comprising 20 gold, 20 silver and 20 bronze.
