Nwafor Orizu College of Education gets new provost

Governor Charles Soludo has approved the appointment of Justina Anyadiegwu as the new provost of Nwafor Orizu College of Education, Nsugbe.
Ms Anyadiegwu’s appointment was communicated to journalists by the governor’s media aide, Christian Aburime, on Tuesday in Awka.
Ms Anyadiegwu succeeded Ifeyinwa Osegbo at the 48-year-old institution.
According to Mr Aburime, the new provost brings to her new role a wealth of experience garnered over 18 years as a senior lecturer at the college.
“Beyond her academic achievements, Anyadiegwu has also contributed significantly to the educational landscape of Nigeria. Her role as a consultant-trainer with the British Council, Nigeria, underscores her proficiency and recognition in the field of education.
“Anyadiegwu holds a PhD in English/Language Arts/Teacher Education from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, further solidifying her credentials as a distinguished scholar and educator,” he said.
Mr Aburime said Ms Anyadiegwu’s appointment reflected the Soludo-led administration’s commitment to promoting meritocracy and fostering the continued growth and development of educational institutions in the state.
“The governor wishes Dr Anyadiegwu the best of success as she assumes her new responsibilities,” Mr Aburime said.
