NWFL Super Six: Edo Queens morale boosted

Aiming to win the Super Six tournament of the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL), Edo Queens Football team players’ morale has been boosted following a promise by the state government to provide them with the necessary support.
The promise was made on Monday evening by the Deputy Governor Philip Shaibu, at the team’s training ground in Benin.
He assured Edo Queens of adequate support, beginning from their preparation and throughout the duration of the tournament to enable them succeed.
“We will do all that is necessary for you to be at your best. All we need from you is for you to remain focused and dedicated. Be disciplined and encourage cooperation among yourselves to display the spirit of team play,” stated the Edo deputy governor. “The only way you can reciprocate government encouragement for you and the resources being committed to preparing you, is for you to do the right thing and be mentally and physically prepared at all times to finish the season well.”
He also disclosed that the team’s management had been directed to begin implementation of players’ rating.
The deputy governor said players’ remuneration would be based on performance and discipline on and off the field.
