Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has failed to deliver his polling unit for his anointed presidential candidate Peter Obi.

Mr Obasanjo, who cast his vote at unit 22, ward 11, Olusomi compound, at Abeokuta North at 10:33 a.m. failed to drum support for his Mr Obi, whom he endorsed in a letter earlier in the year adjudged the Labour flag bearer as the best man to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari.

However, when the votes were counted, Labour got only nine votes, APC 56 and PDP seven.

The total number of registered voters at the polling unit were 693 while only 91 voters turned out to vote, while 10 ballot papers were voided.

In the senatorial election at the same polling unit; PDP had 31 votes, APC 37, ADP had one vote, ADC got seven, Labour four and APM two votes.

Meanwhile, earlier in the day, Mr Obasanjo had commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the introduction of BVAS, which he said had improved the electoral process.
