Odigie-Oyegun chairs ADC’s 50-member policy, manifesto committee

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) on Wednesday announced the composition of a 50-member policy and manifesto committee to be chaired by John Odigie-Oyegun.
The committee has Pat Utomi as its deputy chairman and Salihu Lukman as the secretary.
A statement by ADC’s national publicity secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, said the constitution of the committee was approved by the National Working Committee leadership.
The statement said the composition was in line with the party’s commitment to building a credible, people-centred, and forward-looking policy framework for national governance.
Mr Abdullahi noted that the policy and manifesto committee brought together a distinguished group of Nigerians from diverse backgrounds, including former public office holders, academics, and professionals.
“Collectively, they represent a wealth of experience in governance, economic management, social development, security, and democratic reform across Nigeria’s public and private sectors,” said Mr Abdullahi.
According to the party, the committee is tasked with articulating a clear, coherent, and credible policy direction that reflects Nigerians’ aspirations and positions the ADC platform.
The party reaffirmed its belief that Nigeria’s challenges required ideas rooted in competence, integrity, and national consensus to drive sustainable development, unity, stability, and progress.
It also expressed confidence that the committee would deliver a manifesto that spoke to the real needs of Nigerians across all regions, sectors, and communities.
