Ogun FRSC mourns death of spokeswoman Florence Okpe

The Federal Road Safety Corps’ spokeswoman and chief route commander in Ogun, Florence Okpe.
She died following a prolonged illness, according to FRSC.
The sector commander, Fasakin Akinwunmi, confirmed Ms Okpe’s demise in a statement on Wednesday.
Mr Akinwunmi disclosed that the deceased had been receiving medical treatment for some time before passing away on Tuesday in her hometown in Cross River.
He described Ms Okpe as a dedicated, professional, and resourceful officer who served the corps with passion and integrity.
Mr Akinwunmi said the command received with a heavy heart the news of the death of Florence N. Okpe, who reportedly died on Tuesday in her hometown while on annual leave.
“We lost Okpe on Tuesday morning. One of her family members confirmed the sad news. She had been sick for a while and was attending the clinic here in Ogun before proceeding on medical leave.
“She later travelled to her hometown in Cross River, where she eventually died. Details of the cause of her death are still sketchy; more details will be communicated soon.
“Okpe was an enigma, a very sound and dutiful officer. Her death is a great loss to the command. We pray God grants her family and all of us the strength to bear this loss,” he said.
