Ogun man sentenced to jail for stealing
The Ota Magistrates’ Court in Ogun, on Monday, sentenced Thomas Olamilekan, 29, to two years’ imprisonment for breaking into a house to steal cable wires, glazed window frames and other items worth N728,000.
The magistrate, O.O. Fadairo, sentenced the convict to two years’ imprisonment with an option of a N100,000 fine.
She said that the prosecution proved, beyond a reasonable doubt, that Mr Olamilekan was guilty of the charge brought against him.
During the trial, the prosecutor, E.O. Adaraloye, told the court that the convict committed the offences on May 3, at Tewogbade Street, Ayomikun CDA, Off Baba Ekiti Ntabo, Ijoko, Ota.
Mr Adaraloye said that the convict broke into the residence of Opeyemi Onanuga and stole cable wires, aluminium glass windows,s and other items worth N728,000.
