The Ogun State Water Corporation has cut off its supply to residents of the Ire-Akari Community, Wabiya Street, Elega, following the discovery of illegal connections to the corporation’s water mains.

The corporation announced that affected residents must complete proper customer documentation before their water supply could be restored.

It urged residents to visit the water corporation as soon as possible to process their registration and reconnection.

The exercise by the state water corporation is aimed at tackling and ensuring lawful compliance by residents with established regulations.

The state government imposed heavy fines and strict sanctions on illegal connections through its enforcement campaign Operation SWEEP to crackdown on violators across the state.
