Ondo local council presents N12.9 billion 2022 budget proposal

Akinrinwa Igbekele, chairman of Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo State on Tuesday presented a N12.9 billion 2022 budget proposal to the council.
Presenting the budget at the council’s legislative chamber, Mr Igbekele said the budget would facilitate rapid development for the residents of the council.
Tagged “Budget of Unity and Rehabilitation”, he said the people-oriented budget would take care of capital expenditures, overhead costs and social welfare, among others.
“We were given kudos by various stakeholders invited from the 13 wards of Okitipupa Local Government Area because we implemented this year’s budget to the letter.
“I am part of the residents; I know their problems, challenges and also know how to proffer solutions in all ramifications.
“The budget proposal is a budget of unity and rehabilitation so, residents should expect rapid development and more dividends of democracy,” Mr Igbekele said.
Traditional rulers, politicians, civil servants, youths, market women among others were present at the town hall meeting for the budget proposal.
