American filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson’s ‘One Battle After Another’ emerged as the biggest winner at the 83rd Golden Globe Awards, held on Sunday at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.

The annual ceremony, organised by the Golden Globe Foundation, honours outstanding achievements in film and television over the past year.

This year’s event was hosted by comedian Nikki Glaser and brought together some of the biggest names in Hollywood for one of the industry’s first major awards nights of the season.

‘One Battle After Another’ led all films with four wins, including best motion picture, musical or comedy.

Anderson also won best director and best screenplay, while Teyana Taylor received the award for best supporting female actor for her performance in the film.

In the drama categories, Hamnet won best motion picture, drama, with Jessie Buckley earning best female actor in a drama film for her role.

Wagner Moura won best male actor in a drama for ‘The Secret Agent’, which also won best non-English-language film.

On the television side, Adolescence was the most successful project of the night, winning the best limited series, anthology series, or television motion picture award.

The show also earned acting honours for Stephen Graham, who won best male actor in a limited series, as well as Erin Doherty and Owen Cooper, who won the supporting acting categories.

Medical drama ‘The Pitt’ won best television series, drama, while Noah Wyle received the award for best male actor in a drama series. Comedy series ‘The Studio’ won best television series, musical or comedy, with Seth Rogen named best male actor in a comedy series.

Jean Smart continued her strong awards run with a win for best female actor in a musical or comedy series for ‘Hacks’. Michelle Williams won best female actor in a limited series or television film for ‘Dying for Sex’.

Other notable winners included ‘KPop Demon Hunters’, which won best animated film and best original song, and ‘Sinners’, which claimed the cinematic and box office achievement award and best original score for Ludwig Göransson.
