One Year’s Anniversary: APC chieftain hails Ondo governor for visionary leadership

A United Kingdom-based All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Bolaji Odidi, has said Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s administration is visionary, transformative, and people-centered.
Mr Odidi said this in a congratulatory message to the governor made available to journalists on Saturday in Okitipupa in celebration of the governor’s one-year in office.
Recall that Mr Aiyedatiwa of the APC polled 366, 781 votes to defeat his closest rival, Agboola Ajayi of People’s Democratic Party (PDP), who scored 117,845 votes.
The Ondo state governorship election was held on November 16, 2024 and Mr Aiyedatiwa was sworn-in on February 24, 2025.
Mr Odidi, an Ilaje-born business mogul, highlighted the governor’s achievements in infrastructure, noting significant improvements in roads, healthcare facilities, and educational institutions across the state.
According to him, the projects are changing lives, creating safer, healthier and more productive communities for the people.
He also praised Mr Aiyedatiwa’s commitment to human capacity building, which emphasised programmes on youth empowerment, fostered vocational skills and generated employment opportunities.
He stated, “Investing in our people is the surest path to sustainable growth, and Aiyedatiwa is leading the way.”
Mr Odidi, who acknowledged the pressure of leadership, urged Mr Aiyedatiwa to remain resolute and undistracted by any criticism.
“I urge the governor to stay focused on his transformative agenda, his dedication, transparency, and commitment to the welfare of Ondo citizens. His good works are already positioning the state as a national model of progress, innovation, and prosperity,” the APC chief said.
He also urged Ondo State citizens, home and abroad, to rally support for the governor’s success in governance and for the citizens to enjoy more dividends of democracy.
