Items stolen by the Lagos serial thief who robbed guests at Oriental Hotel have been recovered less than 24 hours after his photo went viral on social media and media platforms reported the robbery.
An X user, @deeeeoflagos, an event planner who was robbed by the thief at Oriental Hotel, announced in a post that her belongings were recovered from the notorious thief on Thursday evening.
“Every item has been recovered; even tho he formatted the files it can still be retrieved back,” she wrote in an update to her earlier post raising the alarm over the items stolen by the thief. “A big thank you to everyone who came through to help out. God bless you.”
No details have been given about the thief’s whereabouts as of the time of filing this report.
Earlier on Thursday, Peoples Gazette reported that “About a decade after he went viral on social media for stealing at a public event, a notorious Lagos thief has robbed another guest at Oriental Hotel, sparking public reactions.”
