The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Awards, popularly known as the Oscars, has released its 2022 nominations list and we can see our favorite stars like Will Smith, Beyoncé, Billie Eilish, appearing on the list.

Will Smith after 15 years, gets two nominations for ‘Best Lead Actor’ and ‘Best Picture’ for the movie ‘King Richard’. So far, Will has had no Oscar win despite being nominated in 2002 for the movie ‘Ali’ and in 2007 for ‘The Pursuit of Happyness’. 

Queen Bey who has won 28 Grammys was not left behind this time around, as she snags her first ever Oscar Nomination for ‘Best Original Song’ for the song ‘Be Alive’ in the movie ‘King Richard’. 

Billie Eilish also bagged a ‘Best Original Song’ nomination alongside her brother Finneas O’Connell for the song ‘No Time To Die’ for the Bond movie ‘No Time To Die’, which got a total of 3 nominations, including ‘Best Special Effects’. Billie already took home a Golden Globe for the same song earlier this year.

The most nominated movie this year is “The Power of the Dog”, with 12 nods followed closely by “Dune” with 10 nods. 

This year’s award which will be hosted by Tracee Ellis Ross and Leslie Jordan, is scheduled for March 27.
