Osimhen fires brace, assist as Galatasaray seal first victory of 2026/2027 campaign

Nigerian international Victor Osimhen scored twice and provided an assist as Galatasaray secured their first victory of the 2026/2027 Turkish Super Lig season with a 4-0 win over Erzurumspor FK on Friday.
The defending Turkish champions opened the scoring in the 12th minute with a goal from Roland Sallai, following a corner delivery, as the right-back found the back of the net in Erzurumspor’s crowded box.
Galatasaray doubled their advantage in the 20th minute as Osimhen assisted Yunus Akgün.
The 27-year-old got on the scoresheet shortly before halftime, capitalising on a huge goalkeeping error from Matija Orbanic to make it 3-0.
Osimhen sealed the victory for the Turkish champions in the 80th minute, converting a cross from Gabriel Sara.
The victory marked the attacker’s fourth goal in the new campaign.
