Osun 2026: APC chieftain distributes food items, cash to members

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun, Victor Badejo, on Saturday distributed food items and cash to party members in Ile-Ife.
The event, held at Mr Badejo’s residence in Ile-Ife, was attended by the state chairman of APC, Tajudeen Lawal, and other party chieftains in Okerewe Ward III, Ife East Local Government.
Mr Badejo described the APC as a party positioned to emerge victorious in the state’s August 15 governorship election.
He noted that residents and indigenes of the state are looking up to the party for viable leadership.
“What we are doing here today is in the spirit of Eid-el-Fitr, after successfully fasting for 30 days in the holy month of Ramadan by our Muslim brothers and sisters.
“These virtues are what I want our people to imbibe as guiding principles as we prepare to vote in the forthcoming gubernatorial poll in August 2026.
“As APC members, we must organise ourselves and show the electorate that we are worthy of their votes,” he stated.
Mr Badejo said he has commenced a door-to-door campaign to educate residents on why they should vote for the APC.
“Amb. Munirudeen Oyebamiji and Engr. Benjamin Adereti, who are flying our party’s flag as governorship and deputy governorship candidates, respectively, are men of impeccable character,” Mr Badejo stated.
In his remarks, the APC state chairman appreciated the members of Okerewe Ward III for firmly upholding the party’s flag, even when it was tough.
Mr Lawal said God compensated the ward by giving them illustrious members like Mr Badejo, “who could have joined another party.”
He urged them to support Mr Badejo and shun all forms of political violence that could have an adverse effect on the party, particularly in Ife land.
“Badejo is a tool, and I want you all to use him well, remain loyal to the party and work hard for its emergence in August.
”Let us be strong ambassadors of the party and its candidates in our respective domains,” Mr Lawal stated.
Food items, including rice, beans, vegetable oil, and other items packaged in branded bags, and cash were distributed to the benefiting members.
