The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun, on Wednesday, inaugurated its campaign committees ahead of the August 15 governorship election in the state.

The committees, mobilisation, media and publicity, finance, security and strategy and contact and engagement, were inaugurated in Osogbo.

The Director-General of the Campaign Council, Oluwole Oke, said at the inauguration that members of the committees were expected to spread the party’s message across the state.

Mr Oke, a member of the House of Representatives, said the inauguration marked the formal take-off of a strategic, disciplined and people-driven campaign that would lead to the party’s victory in the election.

“We must organise, mobilise and communicate our message effectively across every ward, every polling unit and every community in Osun,” he said.

He added that the campaign must be issue-based, people-focused, well-coordinated and result-driven.

Mr Oke, who represents Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency, tasked members of the mobilisation committee to energise the grassroots; the media and publicity committee to control the narrative; and the finance committee to ensure transparency and efficiency.

The lawmaker also directed the security and strategy team to guide campaign operations with precision, while the contact and engagement team should connect directly with the people.

He stressed that every committee is important and every assignment matters.

Mr Oke emphasised that discipline and unity are non-negotiable, urging members to speak with one voice, act with one purpose and put the party above personal interests.

He said the party’s candidate, Munirudeen Oyebamiji, represents competence, experience and a clear vision for the future of the state.
