The APC governorship candidate in Osun, Bola Oyebamiji, has congratulated Muslims on completing Ramadan, reaffirming commitments to job creation, economic growth and youth empowerment.

In a statement on Thursday, Mr Oyebamiji praised Muslims for the devotion, sacrifice and discipline shown throughout the fasting period.

“My dear brothers and sisters in Osun, particularly the Muslim ummah, I extend warm greetings as we celebrate Eid-el-Fitr.

“I congratulate every Muslim for the spiritual devotion, sacrifice and commitment demonstrated during this sacred period.

“Ramadan has reminded us of the enduring virtues of patience, discipline, compassion and sacrifice,” Mr Oyebamiji said.

He urged residents to sustain Ramadan values for societal progress and development across the state.

“These values should not end with fasting but guide our collective actions towards a prosperous, peaceful and progressive Osun,” he added.

Mr Oyebamiji described the forthcoming governorship election as a critical moment requiring visionary leadership.

“As we reflect on Ramadan, we must renew commitment to justice, fairness and responsible leadership that prioritises people’s welfare.

“With unity, leadership and public support, we can drive growth, create jobs, empower youths and improve infrastructure,” he said.

He said youth empowerment, support for small businesses and economic strengthening remain central to his agenda.

Mr Oyebamiji also urged residents to promote peace, unity and harmony across religious and ethnic divides.

“As we celebrate Eid, remain steadfast in promoting peace and unity across all divides.

“Together, with faith and determination, we can build a brighter future for our children and generations yet unborn,” he said.
