Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has said the welfare of workers in the state remains his top priority.

Mr Adeleke stated this while addressing workers at a welcome-back rally organised in his honour at Government Secretariat on Thursday in Abere, Osun State.

The governor said one of his campaign promises was to prioritise workers’ welfare, which he said he had started.

He said, “For this show of love, I can tell you that you haven’t seen anything yet. I am your governor, and I will make your welfare a priority.’’

Mr Adeleke also announced that he would soon unveil the “Imole Soft Loan” scheme for workers.

In his remarks, state Chairman, National Union of Local Government Employees, Dr Nathaniel Ogungbami, said the rally was to honour the governor after his short vacation.

Mr Ogungbami noted that the workers would continue to support the governor due to his worker-friendly policies.

Also, state Chairman, Trade Union Congress, Abiola Fasai, said that the workers would continue to support the governor.

Mr Fasai noted that the governor was prioritising workers’ welfare, promising that they would reciprocate the gesture during the Osun State governorship election.
