Suspected Boko Haram terrorists have released a heart-wrenching video in which they paraded hundreds of abducted victims, including women and children, reportedly kidnapped from Woro community in Kaiama LGA of Kwara State, where terrorists killed over 200 residents earlier this month.

In the viral video, one of the terrorists interrogated the captives about where they were abducted while they responded that they were picked from Kaiama LGA of the state.

One of the terrorists also slammed the Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq-led government for deliberately misleading Nigerians and the international community over the number of residents abducted.

The terrorist stated that the state government lied that only between 20 and 30 people were kidnapped, noting the number of victims in their custody were far above the one the government announced.

“The Kwara State government lied to Nigeria and to the whole world,” the terrorist alleged. “The infidel government lied about your number to be around 20 to 30 people.”

Kwara police spokesperson, SP Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, and Mr Abdulrazaq’s chief press secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, did not reply to requests seeking their comments on the viral footage and efforts in place to secure the release of the kidnapped victims.

Meanwhile, several Nigerians on X have condemned the video and accused the Nigerian government of complicity in the killings and kidnapping across the country.

“This is the present condition of Nigeria which Tinubu wants to continue.

A Nigeria where lives and property is not respected and secured. Innocent Nigerians are regularly abducted by terrorists and paraded like criminals after collecting ransom from their families,” said @emekajerome.

Another user, @johzbohz, wrote, “I will keep saying all this, the government aren’t fighting Boko Haram or bandits; they are sponsoring them more and more. You all be better deceiving yourself thinking the government is trying to fight security.”

“While the government was busy counting 75 bodies, Boko Haram was holding 176 souls. The terrorists said it themselves: Kwara State government lied to Nigeria and to the whole world. They didn’t just attack. They documented. They counted. They mocked. Propaganda? The terrorists are the ones parading evidence,” said a user @Sixtusagbakwuru.

Another user, @Everypolitics1, wrote, “Whenever incidents like this happen, officials call it propaganda. But the real question is: what concrete steps are being taken to prevent abductions and dismantle these networks.”

“When terrorists start holding press conferences in our communities, the line between security and theatre has blurred,” a user, @Moodyshegs, said. “Parading 100 victims in Kwara isn’t just a crime; it’s a middle finger to our national security architecture. You can’t call it ‘propaganda’ when the families of the abducted are living the nightmare.”
