Oyebanji’s re-election endorsement of quality leadership, says Adeyeye

The National Chairman, South West Agenda for Asiwaju (SWAGA), Dayo Adeyeye, has congratulated Governor Biodun Oyebanji on his re-election victory in Saturday’s Ekiti State governorship poll.
Mr Adeyeye described the outcome as a strong validation of the governor’s leadership and administrative competence.
In a statement on Sunday, he said the result reflected the overwhelming confidence of Ekiti State people in Mr Oyebanji’s leadership.
“The victory of Governor Oyebanji has separated the man from the boys and the pretenders from the real contenders. It is a confirmation of his leadership qualities and administrative capabilities since he assumed office nearly four years ago,” Mr Adeyeye said.
He added that Mr Oyebanji demonstrated an understanding of unity by bringing leaders and citizens together across the state.
He stated, “Here is a governor who clearly understood the strength in unity and immediately united the leaders and people of the state behind him.”.
Mr Adeyeye said this approach helped prevent the acrimonious electoral contests previously associated with Ekiti politics.
“Thus avoiding the usual acrimonious electoral processes that Ekiti State has always witnessed in the past,” he noted.
He described the election as free, fair, and widely participated in across the state.
“It was indeed a free and fair electoral process that we all witnessed and participated in in Ekiti State this last Saturday,” he said.
Mr Adeyeye also linked the victory to broader political momentum ahead of 2027.
He added, “The re-enactment of this victory is what we shall deliver with the governor’s and people’s support for President Tinubu in 2027, by God’s grace.”
He praised Mr Oyebanji’s governance record, saying his performance endeared him to citizens through development-focused policies.
“Governor Oyebanji has surpassed expectations in developmental projects and policies that have endeared his style of governance to the people,” Mr Adeyeye said.
He further commended his human resource management style as “superb” and effective.
He noted that Mr Oyebanji made history as the first governor to win re-election consecutively in Ekiti State.
“Indeed, it is noteworthy that Governor BAO is the only one to have won Ekiti State governorship back-to-back, and it is commendable,” he said.
Mr Adeyeye expressed optimism that the second term would bring further transformation to the state.
“It is my sincere prayer that Ekiti State will witness more transformational projects and policies in the next four years of the Omoluabi leadership of our governor,” he added.
