Oyo APC raises committee to reconcile aggrieved members after primaries

The Oyo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has constituted a reconciliation committee to look into complaints and grievances among party members arising from its held party primaries.
In a statement by its state Publicity Secretary, Olawale Sadare, on Sunday in Ibadan, the APC said that the move was to forge a united front ahead of the 2027 general elections.
According to Mr Sadare, the reconciliation committee is made up of elder statesmen and eminent citizens to address grievances and complaints raised by some of the aspirants and other key stakeholders.
He said that the committee, expected to be inaugurated in the coming week by the party’s state Chairman, Moses Adeyemo, has been mandated to reach out to all those who obtained Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms but did not secure the party tickets.
He gave the names of members of the committee to include Senators Olufemi Lanlehin, Brimo Yusuf, Hosea Agboola including Akin Oke, a former Head of Service of the Federation, Prof. Afolabi Oladapo, Idris Adeoye, and Pa Timothy Jolaoso.
Others are Olukemi Alao-Akala, Dr. Adebayo Adewusi, Gunju Ojo, Dr. Adekemi Opatunde, Abisoye Fagade, Kamorudeen Ajisafe, Abu Adejare Gbadamosi, Isiaka Alimi, Prince Niran Adeyoju, Yinka Folarin, and Chief Emmanuel Olaoye.
Also in the committee are Mufutau Adisa, Sule Ajibade, Prof. Abideen Olaiya, Dayo Lawal, Ibrahim Bolomope, Mabel Williams, Jelili Agboola, Kehinde Oloya, Goke Oyetunji, abducted Ramota Okemakinde among others.
Mr Sadare said, “It is hoped that this effort will bring about the desired peace and unity for our great party to win big at the polls next year.”
