Oyo: APC’s Teslim Folarin congratulates Seyi Makinde on re-election

Teslim Folarin of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has congratulated Governor Seyi Makinde of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) on his emergence as winner of the 2023 Oyo governorship election.
“I Congratulate Governor Seyi Makinde,” Mr Teslim tweeted. “All Glories and Adorations are due to Almighty God for His Grace and for preserving our lives throughout the 2023 electioneering process.”
He further stated that, “It is God that Gives Power and Takes Power! May Oyo State and our people continue to prosper. In conclusion, in line with the official pronouncement of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), hereby congratulate Engr. @seyiamakinde.”
The APC guber candidate, who managed to win two out of the 33 local governments in the state with 256,685 votes, lost by more than 300,000 votes to Governor Makinde, who won 31 local governments and garnered 563,756 votes.
Mr Teslim congratulated his main opponent, Governor Makinde, who will begin his second tenure in office on May 29, on his victory via a tweet on Monday afternoon.
