The Oyo State House of Assembly, on Thursday, approved an additional N210 billion for the state’s 2026 budget.

The Supplementary Finance Bill, 2026 was passed during plenary following the adoption of the report from the House Committee on Finance, Appropriation and State Economic Planning.

The committee chairman, Sunkanmi Babalola, representing Egbeda State Constituency, presented the report to the House, saying the committee considered the bill clause by clause.

Mr Babalola said the committee also considered inputs from the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning and projections in the Oyo State Medium Term Expenditure Framework.

With the new approval, the total budget for 2026 rises from N892.09 billion to N1.1 trillion.

The committee recommended that Oyo State draw the N210 billion from its Consolidated Revenue Fund for the year ending December 3.
